NeatlyMoney

A calmer way to hold your money.

We're a small team in France building the finance app we wanted to use ourselves — clear, private, and quietly capable across accounts and currencies.

Why we started

Most of us were juggling two banks, three currencies, and a spreadsheet that had quietly grown its own personality. Every other app either wanted a card before we'd seen the dashboard, sold our transactions to a partner network, or shouted at us about a coffee.

So we started building the one we wanted. One screen for every account, every currency. Exchange rates locked the moment a transaction lands, so six months later your history still says what you actually paid. Budgets that sit quietly until they matter. A tone of voice that doesn't lecture.

We're not in a hurry. There's no funding clock, no growth-at-all-costs target. We ship when something is genuinely better than what was there yesterday — and we answer our own emails while we do it.

slowly, on purpose

What we believe

Your data is yours

Export everything as CSV or JSON, anytime. Delete your account in one click. We don't sell, share, or anonymize transactions for anyone.

Free means free

Personal use is €0 forever — no trial wall, no usage cap, no feature locked behind a credit card to find out if it works.

Calm beats loud

No red alerts, no shame nudges, no streak guilt. The app shows you what's happening and trusts you with the rest.

Built for Europe

French company. Data lives on EU servers (Vercel and Supabase, EU regions). GDPR-compliant by design, not bolted on. Multi-currency with the euro as a first-class citizen.

How we build

Slowly, on purpose. We answer our own support emails. We're not VC-funded, so there's no growth chart we owe anyone — only a product we owe you. Each release goes through the same review whether it's a typo or a new screen. We'd rather ship one thing well in a month than five things shakily in a week.

What's next

Bank sync for the EU through PSD2 open banking, so you stop typing transactions by hand. AI-assisted categorization that learns your habits without sending them anywhere it shouldn't. Shared accounts for couples and families who don't want to merge logins. And an MCP layer so your own AI — Claude, ChatGPT, whatever you already pay for — can answer questions about your money without you opening the app.
